Dulux Roof & Trim™ is a high opacity, self-priming, high performance 100 per cent acrylic paint that is designed to provide maximum durability on roofs and trim. It was specifically formulated for the safe collection of drinking water and is resistant to colour fading, mould, dirt and stains. Previously Painted Surfaces

For Colorsteel® and pre-painted steel: 

• Wash down roof with high-pressure hose and allow to dry. 

Unpainted Surfaces

Bare galvanised iron and Zincalume®: 

• Wash down roof with high-pressure hose and allow to dry. 

• Apply one coat Dulux PRECISION® All Metal Primer. 

• For any rusted areas, remove rust with a suitable rust remover. 

• Spot prime cleaned areas with Dulux PRECISION® All Metal Primer. 

Timber fascias including pre-primed timber: 

• Ensure surface is sound for painting. 

• Sand all dressed timber. 

• Apply one coat of Dulux 1Step® Acrylic Primer, Sealer & Undercoat. 

Steel and wrought iron: 

• Remove all rust by scraping, sanding or wire brushing and apply two coats of Dulux PRECISION® All Metal Primer.

 

Brick, masonry, fibro and fibre cement board: 

• Fill holes with grouting cement. 

• Wash down with water using a stiff brush to remove all loose material. Wash with a bleach solution and/or demossing chemical to remove mould or moss. 

• Then hose down. Plastic spouting and downpipes: Sand all surfaces and dust off.

Concrete tiles: 

• Refer to Dulux Customer Service on 0800 800 424 or for surface preparation details. 

Brush, roller

1. Stir contents thoroughly before and during use with a broad flat stirrer, using an upward lifting action. 

2. Rinse brush or roller in water before starting and use while still slightly damp. 

3. Apply three full even coats direct from the container. 

4. Under hot or windy conditions or on very absorbent surfaces, up to 100ml Dulux Hot Weather Thinner may be added per litre to assist application. 

5. Use a short nap roller. 

6. Avoid excessive brushing or rolling back into paint which has been drying some minutes. 

Airless/Conventional Spray

Suitable for application by all standard spray equipment. If necessary, thin with up to 60 ml/litre of water to aid atomisation.

Unused paint

Do not pour leftover paint down the drain. 

Unwanted paint should be brushed out on newspaper and allowed to dry, and then disposed of via domestic waste collections.

Empty paint containers

Leave empty paint containers open in a well-ventilated area to dry out. When dry, recycle the container via steel can recycling programs.

Disposal of empty paint containers via domestic recycling programs may differ between local authorities. Check with your local council first. 

Do not reuse container unless thoroughly decontaminated.
